The Christian Right scares me; it’s not their beliefs, they hold no power, it’s their political aspirations. For a good read and a glimpse into a futuristic, theocratic government (as if there weren’t enough present-day examples in the Middle East) read Margaret Atwood’s The Handmaid’s Tale.
