Saturday, April 23, 2005 from Cohutta

Thursday night I listened to Bob Dole on the Tonight Show as he described his WWII experiences. I was never in harm’s way, but I did serve in the military. Listening to him made me think of what a big-mouthed, arrogant, little punk George W. Bush is. When he says that he doesn't remember what he did while he was a reservist, I wonder why Bob Dole and I remember everything that we did.

And yet, after writing the above I thought back to how I felt when Dole was known as the Hatchet Man. It’s sort of like when Reagan died; I almost couldn’t remember why I didn’t like him.
