With the climate in America being what it is it's really not all that surprising that Kansas has decided to have its own "Monkey Trial." The people involved in the Scopes trial had an excuse: it was 1925.

I grew up in a time when it would have been acceptable to inject religion in the public schools yet I cannot think of one instance in which it was done. Religious beliefs were taught at home and in houses of worship. This current idea that Christians are being discriminated against because their beliefs are not institutionalized is part of the bigger desire to establish a theocracy, the real Christian agenda.
