Misery everywhere...

A friend who lives in Venezuela writes that while he is saddened and deeply touched by the tragic news coming out of New Orleans, especially the children and elderly, he says that this sort of thing is part of daily life in his country but the poor do not always cry out. It helped put things in a disturbing perspective for me.
